BIO Ghislaine Cleiren is a multi-media artist working in mixed media and fibre art. She loves exploring realistic images and breaking them down into abstract minimalist paintings. She has been making lace and fibre art since an early age. She is consistently looking for unique ways to combine her original lace designs with painting in mixed media compositions that bring surprise and wonder to the viewer. Her love of learning has inspired her to enhance her designing skills through a variety of art workshops.
Notes: Inspired by the wide prairie landscapes, flowers, the ever changing colours of the sky at sunset and the unexpected moments around me. Simplifying to the bare essence, to the almost abstract. These are the elements that motivate me to keep creating and experimenting in art and fibre art.
