• Having walked this path myself, I understand the challenges and struggles that we often face as artists.
• As beginning artists, we didn’t know what we didn’t know!
• We start our journey with enthusiasm and somewhere along the way self-doubt creeps in, and we feel we lack direction and purpose. Now that you have experience, you realize how huge and multifaceted the world of art really is. Being part of a like-minded peer group that shares many of the same questions and challenges is the best way to overcome and move your art to the next level.
• In my group, you will gain greater clarity and intention in the approach to your art.
• We will explore various watercolor styles and techniques with a focus on mastering light, edge control, color, and brushwork. You will learn what makes a painting both successful and meaningful. We will discuss topics like motivation, practice, and creative blocks.
• Sometimes we need someone to help us see what we ourselves don’t see.
• My years of experience allow me to offer insight and instruction through guided projects, demonstrations, discussions, and individualized feedback. My guidance will give you the opportunity to get an objective perspective of what you want to achieve in your watercolor journey. You will not have to figure it out alone but will be able to connect and collaborate with others on a similar path.

2. Understanding the creative mindset (discovery, experimentation, inspiration)

How This Mentorship Works

• Live online small-group mentorship
• Monthly two-hour session with your mentor where you’ll receive feedback, teaching, and personal support from your mentor
• Mentor assigns homework so you can practice the skills you’re learning and get feedback on your results
• Meet mid-month with your group for informal connection
• Private group chat between sessions
• Join weekly live events with the Mastrius community
