Tiina Seppalainen is a California landscape artist. A native of Finland, she grew up exploring the natural world and developed a lifelong affinity with bodies of water. Tiina’s love of water is on display in her coastal landscape paintings. Transparent watercolors and soft brushstrokes give her art the luminosity of dreamscapes. Her paintings have a strong sense of place; each one tells a story of how we live in and interact with our environment. In her art, Tiina aims to represent our connection with nature, highlighting its soothing effects and healing power.
Notes: This collection is inspired by the calming effects of a stroll by the ocean. At the water's edge, there’s room to breathe more deeply. Salty breezes caress your skin. The rhythm of the waves lulls you into a serene state of mind. The three seascapes form a triptych where the scene continues from one panel to the next. Each painting can also be displayed independently. These watercolors are painted on 100% cotton cold-press paper that is mounted on cradled wood panels. The paintings are coated with archival varnish with UV protection and a wax finish, so they can be displayed without glass. Each piece is ready to hang on your wall.
