Mentorship is the fastest way to go from where you are today, to where you want to be! Learn How Mentorship Works or join this mentors group below. Not sure what stage you are? Click here for descriptions.
My mentorship will focus on each individual artist as a unique voice and the group as a symbiotic whole with the common goals of betterment of the craft of their practice, the ability to articulate goals and frustrations and to look more deeply into the “why” of artistic choices.
Artists should expect to be heard without judgement and to learn how to evaluate their work and the works of others in both an analytical way and by assessing the value of putting a particular piece of art into the world.
Support will come in the form of voicing my perspective based on the observation of the pieces shared and the comments of the artists, targeted group discussion and suggested research of artists and artworks that I believe will add to each individual’s exploration of their process.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
Leslie Giuliani is an American contemporary artist. Her work combines textiles, encaustic, oil painting and printmaking.
Giuliani’s recent works have focused on interpreting her original drawings into stitch-able digitized embroidery files. These she sews, with colorful thread combinations as her palette, onto an archival microfiber paper she has painted and printed with Encaustic and Oil paint. To the colorful, painted embroidered images, she stitches down appliquéd shapes cut from other paintings and prints, finally adding decorative machine stitching accents and sequins. The embellishments create a fantastic world for the drawings to inhabit. The imagery can be quirky, surrealistic and sometimes humorous.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Giuliani received her BFA in Fine Art from The University of Delaware, with further studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. Her work is represented in collections of the Housatonic Museum of Art, the State of CT, and many private collections. She was the recipient of an Artist Fellowship Grant from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism for Craft. She is Core Support Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints. Giuliani lives and works in Weston, CT.
