We will focus on tuning into your authentic expression by mastering fundamental skills. We will explore old master techniques through a unique approach to site size and grisaille that will unleash your creativity wether in the studio or outside.

ARTIST STATEMENT
As a painter I intentionally create fine art oil paintings filled with the transformational grace of beauty and its inherent power to heal.
The creative process is a healing balm for me and the work resulting from it carries that healing intention forward. Each stroke of the luminous oils are imbued with life and a place for the viewer to remember into each piece.
My delight in the subject is felt through the nuances of light and color. I’ve cultivated through a passionate pursuit of working from life a technique that portrays form accurately. You recognize it and take in the commonality of the scene and feel it through your own story. It is a sweet circle shared.
Celebrating beauty through art helps us to seek and find it in all situations. It transforms our experience, heals, soothes and blesses. That you receive all that and more is my intention with every creation.

The Art of Krystal W Brown is a painted view of the world revealed through a deep love for nature and the healing balm it imparts.
Brown’s work has been featured in multiple fine art publications, garnered numerous national top awards, and achieved her NOAPS signature status.
Krystal shares her knowledge helping others create their art while honoring their unique voice through workshops and individual instruction.

Krystal W. Brown is a fine art oil painter who captures the places, people and moments that matter most. She was born and raised in Northern Wyoming by art appreciating parents who collected fine art and always encouraged her artistic pursuits. She began drawing at an early age and had sold her first portrait at age 15.
Krystal is an award winning artist that specializes in fine art oil paintings and commissioned portraits. Krystal has a Bachelor’s Degree in fine art from the University of Montana with an emphasis in painting and has been producing fine art for over 30 years.
She has studied with Rob Liberace, Dan Gerhartz, Clayton Beck, Jeffry Hein, Susan Lyon and Scott Burdick. She is continually seeking to grow and improve. Krystal’s work has won People’s Choice awards, Artists Choice, multiple Best in Show, Portrait Society of America Merit Awards. Ms. Brown’s work has been Bold Brush Finalist, Raymar Finalist, and a Plein Air Salon Finalist. Her work has been published in Plein Air Magazine and American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, and Southwest Art. Krystal’s work can be found in collections all over the country.
She is based in the Houston area and is an exhibiting member of the Oil Painters of America, Signature Member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters society, and she belongs to the Portrait Society of America, American Women Artists, Cecilia Beaux Forum, Outdoor Painters Society and the Woodlands Art League.
