My art has best been described as street art meets toddler art meets fine art. I love scribbling, doodling, being in the moment and expressive with paint, markers, crayons or whatever is closest and suits the mood. My goal is to get into the ‘flow zone’, where I can forget all else and surrender to the joy of creating. I am inspired by children’s art, magnificent color combinations, nature and its inhabitants, including animals and plants.

I have years of experience helping others loosen up, get out of their head and let go of the end result. If you are looking to free up in your art, I’d love to help you! I also enjoy helping others develop their own art voice, including your unique mark making and coloring.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Mercede. I like to get creative in all kinds of ways. I love to use my imagination, make music, write and most of all, draw and paint! Interesting color combinations intrigue me. I enjoy being free & spontaneous as I create, it helps me relax and connect to myself. Children’s art is some of my biggest inspiration.

I am a full-time artist living in Portland, OR. I love it here! In addition to being creative, I spend lots of time in the water. You can find me swimming in the Columbia River most days of the week! Nature and the beautiful creatures of this earth also inspire me.

As part of my career, I appreciate the opportunity to share what I’ve learned. I look forward to our journey together should you decide to work with me!
