Meet John Lintott
Drawing | Gouache | Oil
I want to share what helps me in creating landscape paintings that are successful in design and composition. I strive to combine good design while pushing color to express an emotional response to a scene. My process for painting landscapes is painting outdoors, bringing those color notes and sketch ideas to use in the studio to work up into larger paintings. I use a combination of drawing, plein air studies, and photos to achieve this.
I look forward to listening to members that have questions regarding either the studio process, or plein air process. Neither approach exclusively, but also not mandatory to do both. I just feel to do successful landscape paintings, one must study from direct observation in the field, and to apply what is learned in that process. I also want to teach others the importance of when to detect where corrections need to be made in their own work, and how to approach those corrections successfully.
Meet Jeff Boutin

I truly believe every person is a creative person and can succeed when they tap into that knowledge of themselves.
I help people find the key that turns their abilities into a profitable art career.
I have taught many courses and classes on the idea that when you take certain aspects of an art career and individualize them to you will have the key that unlocks success.
I focus on the artists strengths. “Do what you can do now to the best of your ability and let the rest stay in the future. It will come!”
I am not afraid to kindly tell the artist the truth because I want that person to succeed in their career.
I have studied the best ways to be a teacher and how we learn best and then utilize these techniques in my classes. As an example, when we learn something new we should verbalize it out loud and even try to teach others what you have learned and of course make application in our art process.
