Sharon Lynn Williams

Sharon Lynn Williams, afca, lives, paints and teaches in Calgary, and is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and International Plein Air Painters.  She has been happily exploring mixed watermedia for over 30 years, and her mantra is “What would happen if…” The excitement of working from chaos to order is invigorating and creates a dialogue between the work and the artist. Sharon enjoys working with bold colour, line and texture. Her work is informed by the landscapes that she paints en plein air, her passion for gardening and love of the human figure. She is a sought after instructor who has a genuine love for her students and a ton of knowledge to share. Sharon’s interpretations of the beauty around her, as well as her vivid imagination make for an eclectic and varied body of work in many different media. She is always eager to try something new and exciting!
