Nancy Penner is a Manitoba based artist who loves to paint with beeswax and fire! She has taken her love for nature and captured it with the medium of encaustic (beeswax and tree resin). Adding mini crocheted flowers and leaves to her canvas creates a texture that is unique and captivating.
Notes: Encaustic medium (beeswax and tree resin) was a common form of painting in Greece and Rome dating back to 100 AD. Its true beauty is fully appreciated in person when the senses are allowed to experience it in all its brilliance.
