Leah Olsen-Kent

Leah Olsen-Kent is an oil painter and nature enthusiast from Cambridge Ontario. She studied fine art at both the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design and the Ontario College of Art & Design. Her passion lies within capturing those quiet, beautiful moments in nature. Each painting begins with layers of spray paint over nature’s stencils; leaves, branches, flowers and seed pods. Once the stencils are removed soft patterns and shapes are all that is left. A detailed image is then painted over the surface, capturing that perfect moment and feeling, the essence of the outdoors in a dreamlike state.
