Elizabeth Labelle

Elizabeth returned to formal art practice in 2019 while continuing to work full-time. Originally an oil painter, she transitioned to acrylic paint which allows her to build artwork in colourful, expressive layers. Through her art Elizabeth strives to tell the story of the everyday things she sees within the rural landscape, as simply and meaningfully as possible. Though primarily a self-taught painter, she has invested in formal learning from local art schools and in professional workshops. Elizabeth continues to advance her skills through mentorship from Master Artists at @mastrius.official where she also supports others in their art journeys. 
Elizabeth lives in Frontenac County, Ontario with her husband, daughter and their two miniature schnauzers. The scenic forests and farmlands of Eastern Ontario provide an endless source of inspiration for her paintings. Recently retired, she now focuses full-time on her artwork and contributing to the art community.
