What you will learn in this mentorship

• I remember how long and challenging the journey was to develop the skills needed to create the work I envisioned. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer amount there is to learn or to lose sight of your own artistic voice while trying to improve.
• This group is for aspiring artists who want to build strong foundations while working toward a style that feels uniquely their own. Together, we’ll simplify the learning process into manageable steps, strengthen core skills like composition, value, colour, and design, and develop an analytical “art director’s mindset.” Rather than simply copying techniques, you’ll learn how to study the artists you admire, understand why their work is successful, and apply those principles to your own paintings. My goal is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and a clear path toward the artist you want to become.

Mentorship Focus

1. How to build strong artistic foundations in value, composition, colour, edges, and design without feeling overwhelmed.
2. How to analyze the work you admire using an art director’s mindset, so you can develop your own authentic style instead of simply copying others.
3. How to create a cohesive body of work by thinking in terms of collections and visual assets, allowing your paintings to work together while still feeling fresh and personal.
4. How to simplify complex subjects into clear, compelling designs that communicate light, atmosphere, and emotion rather than unnecessary detail.
5. How to develop a sustainable creative practice, from setting artistic goals and overcoming creative roadblocks to building confidence and creating work people genuinely connect with.
