What you will learn in this mentorship
- This group focuses on developing technical skill for the emerging artist.
- Over the past six months we have done a deep dive into elements of composition. All artists in this group have made significant gains in skill.
- We often tackle special topics brought to the mid-month such as ‘fixing photographs using technology’ (sketchbook app). Doug is very flexible to the group’s requests and feedback.
- There are group critiques every session. We vary our focus on subject matter, and sometimes may paint the same thing, or all paint the same theme.
- This group has done several paint-alongs where the master gives in the moment feedback.
- Most members lean towards abstracted realism, and the group contains both oil and acrylic painters.
