Last time, we talked about how and why artists should photograph their artwork. This time, we’re taking the next step: what do you do with those images once you have them?
With Christmas and holiday markets just around the corner, it’s a great time to look at how digital images of your artwork can be adjusted and used to create prints, cards and other products.
We’ll also talk about when scanning your artwork might be a better choice than photography, and some simple ways to make sure your digital image represents your original artwork as accurately as possible.
But creating the image is only half the battle. As artists, we can accumulate hundreds (or thousands!) of photos of finished work, works in progress and reference images. Having a simple system for organizing them can save a lot of frustration later.
We’ll chat about:
- Scanning your artwork vs photographing it
- Making simple digital adjustments for colour, cropping and clarity
- Getting your images ready to make prints, cards and other products
- Organizing artwork images so you can find what you need easily
You don’t need to be a computer whiz or have a fancy editing program. Bring your questions and come away with some practical ideas to make your growing collection of digital images a little easier to manage.
Bring your coffee, your art supplies, your questions, and your real-life experiences. Join us for an easy, supportive conversation that helps you feel grounded, connected, and ready to create!
