What you will learn in this mentorship

• This mentorship group is designed for artists who want to discover and strengthen their unique artistic voices while developing a cohesive series of work. Together, we will explore ways of working more expressively and intuitively, using nature—including flowers, gardens, landscapes, and organic forms—as a source of inspiration.
• An important focus will be learning how to move beyond the literal photo reference. Rather than simply reproducing what is seen, artists will be encouraged to simplify, select, exaggerate, rearrange, and interpret their subjects through personal choices in color, composition, mark making, and abstraction.
• Through meaningful feedback, guided discussion, and occasional demonstrations or exercises based on the group’s needs, each artist will gain greater clarity about the direction of their work. The supportive group setting will encourage experimentation, honest reflection, and sustained studio practice. Over time, participants will develop a connected body of work that reflects their individual interests, experiences, and ways of seeing.

How This Mentorship Works

• Live online small-group mentorship
• Monthly two-hour session with your mentor where you’ll receive feedback, teaching, and personal support from your mentor
• Mentor assigns homework so you can practice the skills you’re learning and get feedback on your results
• Meet mid-month with your group for informal connection
