What you will learn in this mentorship

• Let’s talk Colour technique
• We tend to focus too much on medium technique and fail to realize how important colour, value and composition are.
• In this Mentorship we will focus on Colour Design: understanding the properties of the colours in the medium of your choice. What they can and cannot do, and how to achieve the colours and values you need for your projects.
• Each session will include a colour composition exercise which can be implemented while executing your current masterpiece.

Mentorship Focus

1. To try things, to experiment, to continue to grow your comfort zone.
2. How to use and layer colors to get a rich surface, full of subtleties and depth.
3. Design & Composition – Build stronger, more engaging paintings with solid compositional structure in colour.
4. How to loosen up, get your ideas down and not be so precious about each brush stroke.
5. Focus on what inspires you and how to develop it further into a series of work.

How This Mentorship Works

• Live online small-group mentorship
• Monthly two-hour session with your mentor where you’ll receive feedback, teaching, and personal support from your mentor
• Mentor assigns homework so you can practice the skills you’re learning and get feedback on your results
• Meet mid-month with your group for informal connection
