Hi, I’m Julie deBoer, and I’ve been where you are.

I navigated the art world alone and hit a hard wall in my growth as an artist.

Being primarily self-taught, watching endless art videos, and attending the occasional art workshop only took me so far.

I was burned out by competitive attitudes and my own insecurities.

I longed for a solution that would ignite my desire and passion to create while honoring who I am as an individual.

The turning point?

I saw the work of an artist who inspired me.

David Langevin’s art was so stunning, luminous, and vibrant, it revealed obvious gaps in my knowledge and skill I had never noticed before.  

I knew I needed guidance and support from other artists, especially those I aspired to be like.

So I got curious…

HOW did he do it❓

WHY don’t my paintings look like that❓

WHERE can I get that kind of training❓

WHO can truly help me attain that kind of mastery❓

So I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and attended a weekend event that changed EVERYTHING.

But…

It came at a cost, both financially and emotionally.

It cost hundreds of dollars upfront, I had to drive hundreds of miles to attend, pay for 3 nights accommodations, and spend significant time away from my kids.

It was the leap I almost didn’t take, but I’m so grateful I did. I left that weekend workshop with a mentor!

I just knew there had to be a better way for artists to find a mentor. 

And NOW there is!

My story is not uncommon.

Artists all over the world struggle with similar problems.

Someone once said:

But…

Read that again. It’s important.

It eventually dawned on me.

I realized that I had been moving along, completely unaware of the gaps in my knowledge.

A mentor I could trust.

I learned the technique that would completely change the way I paint. I got unstuck, and my hobby became my career. 

David was someone I could reach out to anytime for advice and feedback.

When I felt stuck or discouraged, he knew how to guide me. He knew my next steps, the steps I couldn’t see. Because he’d been there himself.

What a game changer…

With this new relationship, I had a clear path. David supported me, guided me, and opened doors for me, in a way no one else could.

The path to my success was finally lit up. I had the guidance and confidence I needed to succeed.

🚀 UPDATE: As of January 2024, David has asked me to be in a gallery show with him! There’s no way I would be where I am today without a trusted Mentor!

Throughout history, true masters of art, have always stood on the shoulders of those who guided and inspired them.
