From her 300-year old home in the German countryside, Mastrius Master CORDULA KAGEMANN shares the signature process and techniques that have made her one of Europe’s most recognizable abstract collage artists.
A member of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists (IAPMA), Cordula is a long time art instructor in Germany, as well as Australia and NZ. Students call her ”inspirational” and return again and again to study with her.
An experienced German painter with national exposure, Cordula studied textiles, fashion, visual art, and adult education. One day spent at the Guggenheim Museum ignited her passion for collage and its endless possibilities. Sixteen years later, her mixed media artwork has been shown around the world.
Cordula’s sublime works are created through manipulating handmade papers as well as other specialty paper and tissue. She has developed her own layered collage mixing technique, producing work simultaneously both clean and multi-faceted.
Cordula is now MENTORING up to JUST 8 artists—helping you grow a connected art practice and find expression with papers, paint, and textiles.
